    UAE president warmly welcomes Indian PM Modi in Abu Dhabi

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India has arrived in Abu Dhabi for a significant visit to the UAE, where he will partake in the esteemed World Governments Summit 2024 in Dubai, with India assuming the role of guest of honor. Upon touchdown at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended a gracious welcome to Prime Minister Modi, underlining the importance of bilateral relations between the two nations.

    An official reception ceremony marked the Prime Minister’s arrival in Abu Dhabi, featuring the stirring melodies of both the UAE and Indian national anthems. A contingent of honor guards stood in salute as the Prime Minister’s convoy entered the city. The reception was attended by a distinguished gathering including Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and a host of other prominent dignitaries.

    Accompanying Prime Minister Modi is a high-level delegation representing diverse sectors of the Indian government, underscoring the multifaceted nature of the bilateral engagement between India and the UAE. Led by Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, the delegation comprises key officials from various ministries, including commerce, finance, and energy.

    Their presence emphasizes the comprehensive scope of discussions expected during the visit, spanning economic cooperation, strategic partnerships, and cultural exchanges. This robust delegation underscores the shared commitment of both nations to deepening and broadening their collaborative efforts across a spectrum of domains, ultimately fostering greater prosperity and mutual understanding between India and the UAE.
